Qawra and Bugibba share the same peninusula to the middle North/East Side of the Island Of Malta. These two towns are adjoining and on one part, face the St Paul's Islands, where St Paul was shipwrecked on his way to Rome. Also from the higher points, one can see Gozo protruding from over the ridges of the North of the Island. Bugibba and Qawra, faired as being a summer location for Maltese families, who could afford a second home, in order to escape from the inner town areas, during the hot summer months. Over the 70s and even till this date, this area has been developed into a middle-range tourist resort........Hence the name of one street is "Tourist Street". It is on this street that the St Francis Church, hosting the Saturday AA meeting can be located. The AA meeting location is to the left side of the Church, which is accessed from the street on that side. |
